The story of Jesus Christ’s life and resurrection has been told in countless ways, but German-born composer George Frideric Handel’s Messiah has been among the most celebrated renditions for more than two centuries. The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Southwestern Seminary Master Chorale and four soloists bring Handel’s 270-year-old masterpiece to life at Fort Worth’s Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St., in what has become an annual holiday event. Conducted by David Thye, the performance begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $19 to $65. Call 817-665-6000 or visit fwsymphony.org for tickets and more information.
