Annie of the Little Orphan Annie comic strip may have had creepily empty eyes that were permanently rolled back into her curly little head, but she still managed to bring joy to kids and adults alike for more than 80 years. If you’re looking for a family-friendly type of fun this weekend, look no further than the J Youtheatre’s production of Annie, Jr., a children’s version of the original musical. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jewish Community Center of Dallas, 7900 Northaven Road. Tickets are $12 in advance or $16 at the door.
