Bill Bellamy is much more than just a pretty face. What, you never thought of Bill Bellamy as a “pretty face” to start off with? Honestly, we didn’t either. But apparently he was quite the looker back in his college days at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he won a male beauty pageant. Then again, we’ve been to Jersey, and we’re not sure anyone or anything in that state knows much about aesthetics. Luckily, Bellamy’s quick wit got him up and out of Jersey and into an illustrious career as an actor and stand-up comedian. Most recently, he’s been hosting Last Comic Standing and filming an indie flick called Getting Played, sticking within the realm of key words that have made him famous: play/player/def/love/brothers/comedy. Getting Played also features Carmen Electra, so we’re thinking Oscar, for sure. Bellamy’s always on the road doing stand-up. He’ll be at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road, this Friday through Sunday. Showtimes are 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, 6:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $22.
