Thirteen teams of architects and engineers have teamed up to compete in the 2008 Canstruction Competition and Show. These gourmet gladiators will use their design skills to benefit the poor by building huge structures out of food. Here in Texas, we understand that the poor need food, but they also need entertainment. And what could be more delightful than constructing a castle out of cans of cream of celery. Food from the event will be donated to Tarrant Area Food Bank. The canned architecture will be on display through Saturday at North East Mall, 1101 Melbourne Road in Hurst. Visit canstruction.org.
