The Frisco RoughRiders are the Class AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Nolan Ryan, besides being eternally awesome, is the president of baseball operations for the Rangers. He also happens to be one of the principal owners of the Corpus Christi Hooks, a rival team whose CEO just happens to be Reid Ryan, the fruit of Nolan’s loins. So when the RoughRiders take on the Hooks at Dr Pepper Ballpark this Tuesday through Friday, August 29, just who is Mr. Ryan gonna cheer for? Will he abstain from cheering completely? Will he alternate nights? Will he eat Whataburgers and drink Dr Peppers the entire time to appease both team sponsors? You’ll have to fork over $13 to $19 to find out. Just for kicks, though, we offer this solution: Just to be fair, Nolan should be all-time pitcher for both teams over all four games. Visit ridersbaseball.com.
