As any fan of Project Runway knows, much has been said over the blending of fabric and art in the name of fashion. But what about blending fabric and art in the name of art? Artist Joseph Havel does just that in his exhibition of sculptural constructions based on the drapery and other technical characteristics of curtains, tablecloths, linens and dress shirts. Joseph Havel: Two Sheets (to the wind) is on view from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through December 24 at the Dallas Contemporary, 2801 Swiss Ave. Admission is free. Call 214-821-2522 or visit thecontemporary.net.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Sept. 4. Continues through Dec. 24, 2008
