Lord of the Flies centers around the transformation of well-behaved mates to an expedition of vicious, bloodthirsty children. Director Andy Baldwin tackles the story in KD Studio Theatre’s newest play. For the unfamiliar the scene is set in the midst of wartime evacuation where a plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down. It crashes on a deserted island. Soon some younger boys, complaining of nightmares, believe there’s a monster lurking amongst them. In William Goldberg’s classic tale of survival of the fittest, the boys form alliances, appoint new tribe leaders and begin to turn on each other. Relive the madness through March 18 at the KD Studio Theatre, located at 2600 North Stemmons Freeway. Tickets range $15 to $180. Call 972-302-1801, or visit levelgroundarts.com.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: March 3. Continues through March 18, 2012
