For a brief moment in college I considered studying architecture or design. Then I realized how much math was going to be involved in those fields, so I went running toward the safety of the literature department, but that doesn’t mean that I ever lost interest. For those that do (and those of us that wish we could), The Dallas Architecture Forum is holding a public symposium on contemporary design, featuring speakers Christopher C. Deam, Howard F. Elkus and Karim Rashid (you’ve seen him pimping his Kone hand-vac in the Target commercials), from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Inwood Theatre, 5458 W. Lovers Lane.
