Another month has come and gone and with it a handful of restaurants have opened. Read on for the full list of restaurants happenings in April, and be sure to share tips about new and/or dead restaurants in the comments section below or at dish@dallasobserver.com.
Openings:
Il Cane Rosso White Rock (7328 Gaston Ave.): The second installation of Il Cane Rosso is serving up pizza and, we hear, has a great patio.
Mot Hai Ba (6047 Lewis St.): Jeana Johnson and Colleen O’Hare have opened the Vietnamese restaurant in the space that once housed Watel’s Bistro.
Full Circle Tavern (1319 S. Lamar St.): The new restaurant on South Lamar boasts a delicious burger, plentiful beer selection and expansive dog-friendly patio.
Slow Bone BBQ (2234 Irving Blvd.): Jack Perkins’ new BBQ restaurant is now open, dishing up meat and double-entendre.
Queenie’s Steakhouse (115 E. Hickory St.): Tim Love opened his new upscale concept, just off the square in Denton, where Love Shack used to be.
Chop House Steak and Seafood (2230 W. Park Row): Chef Kenny Mills opened the steakhouse in the town of Pantego, which has a population of roughly 2,300.
Pearl Cup Coffee (2701 Custer Parkway, Ste. 917): A third Pearl Cup location opened at II Creeks shopping center in Richardson early last month.
Wicked Po’boys (6030 Luther Lane): Chi and Joey Le have expanded their N’awlins sandwich shop, and opened a location at Preston Center.
Haystack Burgers & Barely (100 S Central Expressway): This burger and beer joint now calls Richardson home.
Coming Soon:
Taverna Rossa Craft Pizza and Beer (4005 Preston Road): The pizzeria is scheduled to open this summer at the Lakeside Market in Plano.
Norma’s Cafe (8300 Gaylord Parkway): The third location of Norma’s Cafe is slated to open in Frisco at the end of May. Also, they’re hiring.
Glazed Donut Works (2644 Elm St.): Glazed Donut Works will take over the Man Bites Dog space in Deep Ellum.
Pearl Cup at the AT&T Performing Arts Center: The local coffee shop plans to open a fourth location.
