Seems like Red Animal War always reunites for one show around the holidays. While there is much, much less than the pageantry The Polyphonic Spree puts on around this time, there’s no shortage of powerful post-hardcore from this four-piece. With some new songs kicking around (their first since 2004) expect them to tie in well with older material dating all the way to their original three-song demo and first LP, Breaking in an Angel. Quiet and unassuming frontman Justin Wilson completely transforms when drummer Jeff Wilganoski kicks into a song, leading a Texas slant on Jawbox, Traindodge and Hot Water Music. Previous years brought in crowds that filled the Double Wide to its capacity. Expect the same this year. The Me-Thinks and Bad Design open.
