At the end of the 2005 movie Sideways, Paul Giamatti’s character Miles decides to create a special event by drinking a bottle of high-dollar wine on a less than extraordinary day, instead of waiting for a cork-pop-worthy occasion to magically occur. Now, apply the same line of thinking to a Dropkick Murphys show. One doesn’t have to wait until March 17 to boot-stomp some Celtic-flavored punk aggression. The Massachusetts group turns any day of the year into St. Patty’s, regardless of what month they roll through town, same as they have been for the past 15 years. They’re still touring last year’s Going Out of Style, but don’t let the name fool you.
