Variety. We crave it, we love it, we eat it. It makes us, as people, comforted, unnerved, inspired, frightened and motivated. It’s a pretty powerful thing, that variety. That’s why we totally love it when And/Or Gallery presents a new group show. Rather than exhibiting a bunch of artists all doing the same shit, or all working in acid green, or all trying to mimic Cindy Sherman, And/Or offers a variety of genres, subjects and mediums to feast our hungry eyes upon. It’s no different with Show #13 (which hangs through January 5). Check out Lauren Gray (photos), CJ Davis (mixed media), Michael Bell-Smith (digitals), Wendy Red Star (photos, collage, mixed media) and others. And/Or Gallery is open 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, noon to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays and by appointment at 4221 Bryan St. Call 214-824-2442 or visit andorgallery.com.
Thursdays, Saturdays, 12-6 p.m.; Wednesdays, 5-8 p.m. Starts: Dec. 8. Continues through Dec. 22, 2007
