If you’re into movies with smart characters who secretly feel shunned by society and scenes with supremely low frame rates, you’re in luck. The Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson is having a mini-film fest of director Wes Anderson’s films all next week.
The Drafthouse’s “Week of Wes” kicks off Saturday with a 4 p.m. screening of Moonrise Kingdom followed by a 2 p.m. screening Sunday of Anderson’s adaptation of Rolad Dahl’s classic children’s book Fantastic Mr. Fox. It continues from Monday through Thursday with 7:40 p.m. screenings of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore and Bottle Rocket (sorry fans of The Darjeeling Limited).
It’s all leading up to Friday’s premiere of Anderson’s newest movie The Grand Budapest Hotel, which as of right now you’ll have to see at another theater (sorry future fans of The Grand Budapest Hotel).
