Well, based on the brand new “commercial” that King Khan & the Shrines has streaming on its MySpace page, it’s pretty clear that the Berlin-based band enjoyed visiting the original Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse on Inwood while the band toured through Dallas earlier this week. For those who don’t know, Khan’s kinda got a thing for barbecue — his other act’s called The King Khan & BBQ Show.
And, on Tuesday, during the Shrines’ performance at Sons of Hermann Hall, Khan made several comments from the stage about his love for Bryan’s barbecue, as well as other baron of beef related comments.
Read a review of the show here. But, if you’d like to hear what King Khan & the Shrines thought of Dallas’ legendary barbecue joint for yourself, then check out the “Sonny Bryants Dallas Texas BBQ Commercial” over on the Shrines’ MySpace page.
Yeah. Sonny Bryants. Best not to question Mr. Khan.
