Turns out, Joel Harloff won’t be cookin’ at the Screen Door in One Arts Plaza after all.
Contrary to what was noted in our final meal of 2007, Joel Harloff will not be commanding the kitchen in the upcoming Screen Door (a Modern Southern Kitchen) when it opens in One Arts Plaza in early 2008. The former Melrose executive chef and Screen Door (and Café Italia) founder Scott Jones have parted ways. Amicably. Or so Harloff says.
Harloff tells Unfair Park he’s weighing his options. In the meantime, he’s consulting with Londoner founder Barry Tate as the pair prepares to expand The Londoner (from Addison and McKinney) in the State Thomas Historic District sometime next year. –Mark Stuertz
