A teacher at Dallas ISD’s Oliver W. Holmes Middle School, identified by students as Sgt. Griffin, is in trouble after a student recorded his highly motivational rant about his students’ test scores and lack of decorum in the classroom. He says “fuck” a bunch of times, and the whole thing is pretty inspiring.
KDFW was first news organization to obtain the recording. It ran a story on last night’s news, bragging that it ratted out this oratorical wizard and calling the language “X-rated,” which raises a lot of questions about what it’s like to work at KDFW. It also prompted the district to issue a statement:
“It has come to our attention that one of our teachers may have spoken to students using inappropriate language, tone and behavior during a class recently. The staff member has been placed on administrative leave.”
