Corey Pond at The Common Table just confirmed that his restaurant, while not in Deep Ellum, will nonetheless be the first to sell Deep Ellum Brewing Company’s beers.
The launch party will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 12, as part of Dallas Beer Week (much more on that coming soon). At least four beers — Backslider Blond Ale and Double Brown Stout plus a couple others — will be tapped, and the festivities will also feature giveaways and live music.
Dallas Beer Week, which runs November 12-18, will be huge for DEBC. Also on the agenda are a beer dinner at Cane Rosso November 15 and another at Trinity Hall November 16.
John Reardon of DEBC says being this close to seeing his beer reach the marketplace is surreal and “overwhelmingly exciting.” So far, The Common Table is his only confirmed account, but he’s working on getting more once the brewery begins distributing early next month.
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If the Dallas Observer matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
“There’s still a lot to do, so to see the finish line is really seeing the starting line,” he says. “When the sprint ends, hopefully the marathon begins.”
The brewery’s “inauguration party” is planned, fingers crossed, for November 23, which is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and will include a toy drive.
