For those who can’t wait till Texas Monthly‘s new issue hits the stands, the mag has kindly posted its 2008 Bum Steer Awards — and by my count, Houston, with its 11 separate items, is far more bum-steer than Dallas, which only garners six (not including ones related to, oh, the Texas Rangers, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines). And Fort Worth, you get four.
But methinks they left out plenty of good stuff — like, oh, I dunno, city officials finally being indicted by a federal grand jury and TV reporters getting suspended and …well, we’ll get to our year in review, in our own sweet damn time. Till then, say “hi!” to Evan for me. –Robert Wilonsky
