If there’s one thing Dallas has a surprising deficit of, it’s the kolache – or, more specifically, the kolache (the sweet one) and the klobasnek (the savory one). This weekend, Dude, Sweet Chocolate’s Katherine Clapner attacks the issue head-on with a pop-up so Texas, we might have to dust off our Stetson Open Road for the occasion.
From 10 a.m. until sellout Saturday, Clapner will take over Slow Bone for a barbecue-filled kolache and klobasnek pop-up. She’s been mum on the menu details so far, but we’re gonna bet there will be at least one Slow Bone brisket klobasnek on the agenda, which could very well become the ultimate Dallas breakfast. Clapner takes credit cards at her pop-ups, so no need to hit the ATM before filling up on barbecue-filled klobasneks. This could be Klapner’s most epic breakfast pop-up yet.
The Slow Bone, 2234 Irving Blvd.
