As all who are participating in Tuesday’s Pie Throwing Championships are aware, the circus is in town. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey digs its big red heels into Dallas soil for a 12-day run of Fully Charged, a production showcasing the company’s most high energy acts. You’ll see Ukrainian tumbling sensations the Negrey Troupe, a whole mess of slapstick in Clown Ally and an equine presentation (ponies!).
But perhaps most importantly, it’s a chance to express your patriotism via big top love.
August 1 is the kick-off day for National Clown Week, a completely real thing signed into law by Richard Nixon in 1970. (I know, it’s almost too good.)
The circus gave us a four-pack of tickets to give away. Want ’em? Leave a comment telling us which role you would play in the circus and why you’d be awesome at it. At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, we’ll randomly select and contact a winner from all qualifying responses. Make sure to log in with a real email address or social media account, or leave one in the comment.
