The Grape’s owner and undisputed burger master Brian Luscher bid farewell to the Big D on Sunday, his eyes set on Wichita, Kansas. Luscher will represent the Texas Beef Council at the 2012 Kansas Beef Council‘s Pasture to Plate Tour, where he will tour multiple production lines and farms to learn about current topics in beef production, genetics and breeding.
According to the High Plains Journal, past tours have aimed to connect cattlemen who devote their lives to raising stock with the chefs devote their lives to transforming this stock into “sumptuous menu items.” Chefs from around the country will be joining Luscher on the tour, which also aims to connect consumers with the agricultural industry as a whole.
