Interesting development in the sad saga of Greg Williams while I was out of pocket:

Turns out his radio re-launch gig with John Clay Wolfe went kaput.

Weird, because I thought they had a deal. A working agreement. A contract, even. I know for sure they had a web site and a name and an American Idol-type plan for Hammer’s supposed sidekick.

But, according to Wolfe, the show didn’t air last week as planned because, basically, Williams ultimately balked at a salary he originally agreed to.

$30,000

In Greggo’s absence, Wolfe has landed some juicy guests like Tom Green and Sinbad. As for Williams? Your guess is as good as mine.

Apparently he’s not only done with Dallas radio, but also Dallas media. Hasn’t returned my last 5 calls.

Stay tuned …
