The Two Rogers Hartmanns

Slowly but surely, videos from the TEDxSMU event, held back in October, are finding their way to the conference’s site. After a slow rollout — and I highly recommend Lewis Warren‘s performance, posted last month — two went up yesterday: a talk from Dr. William Abraham, the school’s Albert Cook Outler Professor of Wesley Studies; and one from Rogers Hartmann, a Hockaday grad (Class of ’89), screenwriters’ manager, Oprah guest and the author of the Life with Dystonia blog, which chronicles her battle with the Parkinson’s-related disease and her efforts to raise awareness about it. Watch ’em both, but it could be a bit, well, early for some to really, like, get Abraham’s speech, titled “In Search of a Grand Theory of Everything.” This, I’ve found, is usually a very late-night topic of discussion.
