When I first wrote about Rex’s Lobster roll, a commenter jumped in to defend Sea Breeze’s offering, further north in Plano. I’ve had both of the rolls (I tried Sea Breeze’s while reviewing the restaurant and ate Rex’s only because I wanted to), but I hadn’t compared them directly. With rolls stacked side-by-side, the comparison is quite easy.
An extra $4 might seem like a lot when we’re talking about a sandwich that easily fits in your palm, but this isn’t a sandwich you’ll be eating on a daily basis=. In Dallas, eating a lobster roll feel like seems almost like a special occasion. I think the splurge is more than worth it.
