That KTVT sign on N. Central Expressway, between Meadow Road and Walnut Hill Lane, has been part of the scenery since I was a kid. But who knows how much longer it’ll be there: Lori Conrad, communications director for the CBS affiliate, confirms that the building’s been on the market for a few weeks, with Jones Lang LaSalle handling the listing.
No takers yet (it’s early), but in the event the building does sell, says Conrad, KTVT is “looking at some office space to keep the Dallas staff in Dallas” — and by staff, she means a sales team and a newsroom out of which reporters and photographers work when they’re not in the Fort Worth studio. As for what happens to the sign, Conrad says, “I would assume that depends on what happens to the property.”
