I’ll be honest, I was kind of hoping for a Bradley Whitford sighting. But Cole Hauser will do.

Had to idle on Elm Street in Deep Ellum for a while this morning as cops shut the street down for a Chase filming. Such is the life of an Ellumite these days — celebrities, doing their celebrity-ing, keeping us Real Murkans from our daily lives. At first, I thought I caught a glimpse of a Colin Hanks stand-in, but I was way off. No Good Guys here.

“Burt’s Coffee” has been set up at the corner of Malcom X Boulevard and Elm Street, and a guy who told me he was acting as “foot traffic” (I think that’s just a notch below “extra,” possibly above “dude who brings muffins”) said the Chase folks planned to blow up something later on in the day. Wonder if the perennially bummed Tweeters at Murray Street Coffee over on Main Street are disappointed NBC didn’t use a real neighborhood coffee shop for the shoot?
