Have plans this evening? Of course you do. You’re headed to Iron Fork, the Dallas Observer‘s homage to local restaurants, anchored by an epic chef battle between James Beard nominee Matt McCallister and Richard Gras, who has been cooking at Oak in the Design District.

Chennai Cafe (Pictured above) I reviewed Chennai Cafe last year, and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the Dallas area for unapologetic, rustic Indian cooking. Normally you have to drive all the way up to Plano near the Shops at Legacy to get curry like this, but now you can have it right downtown.
Empire Baking Company If you want good bread, you come to Empire Baking Company, unless you’re at Iron Fork, where Empire comes to you.
