Parking a big rig in a Dallas neighborhood’s against the law — gets you a $25 ticket and, more than likely, a tow to a city pound — unless it’s being loaded or unloaded. Only, seems some folks are finding more and more commercial vehicles and one-and-a-half-tonners parked along their residential streets, and their complaining has the city council’s Transportation and Environment Committee discussing today ways to reinforce existing city codes, including nice little no-no notes included with the tickets. Turns out, since February the city’s put two code enforcement officers in charge of busting violators, and the numbers of fines and tows is way up: 303 citations and 80 tows since in the past six months. Could be worse — right, Frisco? –Robert Wilonsky
