Jack White has taken to message boards to defend his company against, well, his own fans.
Apparently, his fans are upset because his record company sells some of their limited edition releases on eBay. Gasp! Except that there’s a reason he sells limited edition Third Man Record releases on eBay — so he and his company can make money.White ‘s not just making money for himself, he’s making money for the artists on whatever he’s selling.
It’s show business, not show friends. (Well, it’s kind of show friends when it comes to Wanda Jackson.)
Anyway, if someone gets their hands on a limited edition of whatever he’s selling, then turns around and resells it at 10 times the original price, well, you can either pay the price or shut up.
