Along with Les Savy Fav, Atlas Sound, GZA and (deep breath) The Jesus Lizard, The Fun Fun Fun Fest November 7 and 8 in Austin will include one local boy-turned-Austinite: former Ghosthustler Alan Palomo’s second-newest project, VEGA.
Though the former Dentron dweller isn’t yet listed on the festival’s “lineup leaks” page, today’s missive to the media included VEGA among the announced acts, along with Yeasayer, Kid Sister and DRI. The VEGA MySpace page lists both festival dates under “Upcoming Shows.”
So far, VEGA is the only Dallas-area act confirmed, meaning it’s not nearly as North Texas-heavy a lineup as the October 2-4 Austin City Limits Festival, which boasts Sarah Jaffe, David Garza, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, and Toadies. Hopefully that’ll change by Tuesday, when the full lineup is released.
