On a day when the Dow Jones has dropped another 300-plus points, Neiman Marcus went ahead and debuted its 2008 Christmas Book — that that! Or maybe you have some loose coin to spend on the most wonderful wish list, which includes “each and every 45 RPM vinyl record that was listed on the Billboard Top 100® Rock and Pop charts from Jan. 1, 1955, through Dec. 31, 1990” (only $275,000); an M-Velope® Transformable Structure (a steal at $100,000); the chance to “immortalize your own magnificent self with our 2008 His & Hers gifts” made entirely of LEGOs (yours & yours for $60,000); or a Jack Nicklaus Custom Backyard Course Package (a little steep, but only one … meeelion … dollars, for starters).

Or, as you can see from the photo, you can also buy a Texas Stadium end zone carpet for $500,000 — which, says the catalog, Jerry Jones is donating to the Salvation Army, which is kinda kick-ass. Plus, the deal does come with: “pre-game photos in your zone with Jerry Jones, a luxury suite for the game, and a once-in-a-lifetime post-game tailgate party on your soon-to be new backyard (with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, no less).” But you do have to pay for the installation. –Robert Wilonsky
