Earlier this week, we learned that two Dentonites–Andrew Tinker and Erin Austin—had made the final round in the annual the Sound and The Jury competition, which offers largely unknown acts to play at the Austin City Limits Festival, an event normally reserved for only the biggest names in music.
Trick is, that final event, a live performance battle of the bands of sorts, takes place in Austin–the hometown for Tinker and Austin’s three competitors.
To hopefully nullify the inherent home-field advantage there, Tinker’s devised a somewhat interesting plan of attack: In order to get his fans into the free September 30 show at Antone’s, Tinker’s rented a charter bus to bring his DFW friends and fans down to Austin and back–quite the strategy, actually.
Details on how to hop on board the Tinker bandwagon bus can be found right here.
