How Vonciel Jones Hill Will Spend Valentine’s Day

If you were thinking of sending Dallas city council member Vonciel Jones Hill flowers on Thursday, don’t send them to City Hall. Turns out she’ll be spendingValentine’s Day speaking before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee — which, I know, is so Hallmark. Her subject? “Revitalization of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Brownfields Program.” Which makes sense, as she’s the co-chair of the council’s Quality of Life & Government Services Committee. But in honor of the “holiday,” C-SPAN has agreed to shoot the entire session in soft focus, mostly for Susan Parker Bodine, assistant administrator for solid waste and emergency response at the Environmental Protection Agency.
