Betty Culbreath
Dallas Housing Authority chair Betty Culbreath, who is known to enjoy hot ham sandwiches on occasion, is in the national news this a.m. — because she’s a Republican voting for Barack Obama, oh my! Notes ABCNews.com’s Marcus Baram, she goes way, way back with the Bush family, but she’s going Obama this go-round for several reasons, none involving “racial pride.” Still, this is surprising: “Though she supported Mike Huckabee during the Republican primaries, she says she cannot support the party’s presumptive nominee, John McCain, because she claims he has a ‘volatile’ temperament.” Now, see, I would have thought that would have been a plus. –Robert Wilonsky
