What you see above is an artist’s rendering of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, should Luminant be allowed to expand the plant from two units to four. Notes Luminant in its media release, sent in advance of an applicaton filed with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission: “These new units (to be known as Comanche Peak Units 3 & 4) would produce enough nuclear electricity to power approximately 1.8 million average Texas homes.” Either way, I am calling Michael Douglas and Jane Fonda first, just to be sure. –Robert Wilonsky
