And speaking of late-night teevee hosts …

Just got word that ousted Tonight Show ex Conan O’Brien is about to take Andy Richter and the band on the road for a two-month tour, the title of which is “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television.” Which I mention because, right, there’s a Dallas date: May 13 at McFarlin Memorial Auditorium on the SMU campus. His Web site’s acting a bit wonky as word spreads, but via Twitter he suggests, “Alert! Teamcoco.com is jammed with too much traffic. If you can’t get on, go to http://ticketmaster.com to buy your tickets. See you soon.”

About an hour ago, he had this to tweet about the tour: “Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour.” To which he adds in The Official Release, “It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house.”

Update at 2:30 p.m.: Several Friends of Unfair Park have said the event is sold out, and, indeed, after trying to buy tickets moments ago (anywhere at any price), I was greeted by the “Sorry, no exact matches were found” message.
