Two media matters this morning, beginning with A.H. Belo releasing its second-quarter numbers: “Advertising revenue, including print and Internet revenue, was down 30.2 percent, due to declines in retail, general and classified revenues in all AHC markets.” The press release has all the stats concerning The Dallas Morning News‘s parent company, and a conference call with all the Belo bigwigs should provide further details. And Broadcasting & Cable talks to local TV execs about ESPN’s entering the DFW market with its Dallas-centric Web site and SportsCenter Mini-Me. We certainly have a fairly large sports staff.” That’s the spirit of Texas.
