The best thing about dining at Victory Plaza is no longer. Sommelier Rudy Mikula has evacuated Nove Italiano for Consilient Restaurants pastures. There he will serve as wine and beverage director at Hibiscus and consult for other venues in the Consilient stable.

Mikula, formerly of Loews Anatole Hotel’s Nana, was only last year judged the state’s third-best sommelier. But fret not. You can still cook fajitas on the Victory Plaza concrete surrounded by steel and glass while watching the big-screen tellies. Pardon, that’s AT&T Plaza. –Mark Stuertz
