Couple of weeks back, Patrick Michels was down at DART’s West End Station when sculptor Erik Blome parked his bronze Rosa Parks in advance of tomorrow’s opening. But on Saturday, Patrick was down in the West End for Taste of Dallas and noticed that Parks was covered by a tarp — how odd, given there was a dedication ceremony on June 29 during which U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson took a seat next to Parks. Though, to be fair, the blanket’s name is César Chávez.
