You know Aaron Eiland’s work. Dude is clearly good at what he does. Here, the Dallas-based graphic designer proves it again.
Emphasizing the “Cold War” aspect of Cold War Kids’ name, Eiland’s design here gets all Space Race-y on us, putting a dog in space. A dead dog? Maybe just a sleeping one? Either way, it’s still pretty adorable, considering that jumpsuit. Everybody together now: Awww.
It’s just another pretty design from a guy who knows a thing or two about pretty designs. All the pertinent show info is there, too — the band names, the date, the venue — although some of it is on there in some fairly small type. That’s the only bone (see what I did there?) there is to pick with this design, but it’s a small one.
Nice stuff. Cold War Kids and Fool’s Gold, who share tonight’s South Side Music Hall bill should be pleased.
