The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and, for most of us, that means barbecue, a wide assortment of food that ends with the word “salad,” and, of course, fireworks.
But the Double Wide is throwing a backwoods grab-bag party of their own, complete with Spingsteen (Yankee Doodle Dand-E Street), Replacements (Les Replacements), and Neil Diamond (Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show) cover bands. And, in true redneck fashion, an above-ground swimming pool will fill the parking lot.
The concert costs $5 to attend, and starts a little after 9 p.m. Eager pool-goers can get an early start when the doors open at 7.
Things you can expect: cheap booze, cheap food, tube-tops, plenty of other redneck cliches, and a contest for best patriotic outfit and swimwear.
Sounds like a good time to me.
