If you’ve been contemplating whether you should finally monetize your hot takes by making the jump into the world of journalism, then let us give you a little push: the Dallas Observer is looking for culture writers.

We know, “culture” is a broad term, just as wide of a range as the topics covered in this section. We are looking for writers to report and write about (mostly) local entertainment and arts news, stories related to social media, local businesses, sex, comedy, fashion, gaming, human interest, sometimes even politics.

We are looking for weekly contributors with fresh takes and strong voices – who are knowledgeable about the local scene, work well with deadlines and are fond of using spell check – to conduct interviews, write profiles, essays, lists, previews and reviews.

If you are the unicorn who possesses all these qualities, please introduce yourself by sending an email with writing samples and pitches to culture editor Eva Raggio.
