Another month, another new track from Damaged Good$–which, sure enough, you can expect to be a regular occurrence as part of Theodore Beard and Coool Bully’s on-going promotion for their upcoming Spread Love, Not Germs disc. The song’s something of a banger–and, better yet, showcases a bit more of the twosome’s lyrical prowess than usual.
Oh, and that’s not to say the beat on this track, called “The Great Escape” isn’t ridiculous–per usual, it is.
But before we get too far into the track, which is available as a free stream and download after the jump, a quick note: In addition to the one-song-a-month deal, DMG$ will also be hosting a free, charity-focused show each month. This month’s event takes place on Friday, December 18, at Good Records. Don’t fret; we’ll remind you as we get closer to that date.
Anyway, jump to check “The Great Escape,” yeah?
Bonus mp3:
Between this song and the one DMG$ offered up as a free downlaod last month (“Dopest/Flyest”) it’s looking like the duo’s hurdling quite easily over any potential sophomore slumps. And the scary thing? Given some of the tracks we heard when the duo performed earlier this month at Fallout Lounge as part of a benefit for the North Texas Food Bank, these aren’t even close to the best songs the group’s got up its sleeves as we near the album’s full release.
