Hutchins BBQ is good — and judging by the lines out front, North Texans know that. Now, Yankees will get a taste of the goods, too, when Hutchins heads to the Big Apple next month to cook dinner at the James Beard House. Cooking at the Beard House, in case you didn’t know, is kind of a big deal — and before Hutchins heads North, they’re letting locals get a taste of their Beard-or-bust menu.
Co-owners and -pit masters Tim Hutchins and Dustin Blackwell “are thrilled to share their James Beard menu with friends, family and local fans” on May 19, according to a press release. Just take a look at this menu:
Passed appetizers Original Hutchins beef–pork sausages Pork sausages with jalapeños and cheese Texas Twinkies — Marbled brisket and cream cheese–stuffed jalapeño peppers with thick-cut bacon and sweet barbecue glaze Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Vinegar Pork Sauce
Plated dinner Slow–smoked prime brisket with potato salad Slow-Smoked St. Louis–style spareribs with Hutchins’ bacon macaroni and cheese Turkey breast with turkey au jus–butter sauce and burnt end pinto beans Brisket burnt ends with chile cornbread

Oh, Hutchins. You had us at burnt ends. Snag tickets in advance for this one.
