When most people think of Neon Indian, a few things probably come to mind — a nostalgia-filled sound, chillwave, missed opportunities to drop acid with a friend, bizarre infomercials and so on.
Fitting, then, that this week’s top poster combines a few of those ideas.

Delicious Design League,
a Chicago-based design firm that’s worked with clients such as Nike and
Western Union in the past, was tapped by the folks at the Granada
Theater for this design.

Says Granada promotions manager Gavin
Mulloy: “[It’s their] maiden voyage working with Granada. Loved their
work and contacted them. Hope to do more with them.”

Easy to see
why. They do a nice job with it, adding a little bit of psychedelia to a
found image of children running — perhaps into a pool during a deabeat
summer? Maybe.

Regardless, it’s a party for your eyes. The
splashes of color, though seemingly random in their placement, given the
poster design an almost burnt-out feel, adding to the overall nostalgia
at play. And, of course, surrounding all the trippy stuff, all the
pertinent show info is included.

A nice visual, for sure.

Think your poster is better? Want to see one of your designs get honored
next week? Drop us an e-mail
with an image promoting an upcoming show right here. Oh, and, when possible, be sure to do so at least a week in advance of the show. Thanks!
