Once upon a time, Less Than Jake was a ska band–horns, the whole deal. Then something happened; the band went pop-punk. And while 2006’s In with the Out Crowd wasn’t a terrible record by any means, by that point it was clear that this was a band that had evolved. Nonetheless, 2008’s release from the Gainesville, Florida, product, called GNV FLA, is supposed to be something of a return to form.

You can see for yourself tomorrow night at the Granada Theater if that’s true: The folks there have been kind enough to give us five pairs of tickets to hand out to lucky DC9 readers–maybe even you. Want the free tix? Cool. Email me right now with the words “Body by Jake” in the subject line, and, if you’re among the first five to do so, you’re seeing this show for free. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.
