Last night on Twitter, the hashtag “heart shaped pizza” was trending nationwide for Valentine’s Day. Over here in Dallas, as Pete Freedman teased in his recent cover story, Bucks Burnett celebrated Valentine’s Day by opening an eight-track museum.
Half of the Tom Tom Club (who officially released a new eight-track through Burnett’s Cloud 8 label last night), The O’s and screwball singer Stu Dicious were on hand, performing and signing copies of their new eight-track releases for the Grand Opening.
Photographer Danny Hurley made it out for the watershed moment in Dallas music history. Why is it watershed? Because, as Pete pointed out, it’s the first eight-track museum — in the world.
