Adding to his already robust wood-fired Neapolitan pizza empire, Jay Jerrier, owner of Cane Rosso, today announced the pizza spot’s ninth restaurant: in The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ new headquarters and training center in Frisco.
He announced the move in classic Jerrier fashion: With a video of a guy wearing a fake mustache.
Jerrier and his team have been busy this year. They opened a Cane Rosso in Austin and Houston’s The Heights neighborhood, with another location in Montrose opening soon. Jerrier has also been expanding Cow Tipping Creamery, the gourmet Austin soft-serve spot he bought, with two locations so far. Jerrier is slated to reopen Zoli’s, the beloved New York-style pizza spot that closed in Bishop Arts earlier this year, in a new location in Addison by the end of the year.
The Star is still under construction, but Jerrier says the Frisco Cane Rosso is slated to open sometime in 2017.
