Hipster Runoff has a pretty funny take on this Nylon video interview with Alan Palomo of Neon Indian, in which the interviewer seems to be taking the “Band Crush” series title a bit literally.
As Carles says, interviewer Becka Diamond asks “a bunch of relevant questions from 1 year ago,” like “True or false: Neon Indian started with an acid trip.”
However, she does manage to get a very odd “fact” out of Palomo: he was visited by a glowing alien when he was five years old, who just pointed at him and said “You.”
So maybe Diamond is on to something after all with her suggestion that Palomo is the “leader of the glo-fi movement.”
