Evan Callis, aka Rawdog, was a member of Criminal Habits
We just got news that Evan Callis, who went by the name “Rawdog” when he performed with his hip-hop group Criminal Habits, died in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 9, in a manner eerily similar to DJ Frantic’s passing–and pretty much exactly a week after it. He was 20 years old.
Criminal Habits was signed to local hip-hop label Shadow Records and released an album, New South By Any means Necessary a few months back. Says Criminal Habits manager TJ Longoria about Callis’ passing: “He was a one of a kind artist. He had a lot of potential for moving up.”
There will be a benefit show held in Callis’ memory on Saturday, March 1, at the It’ll Do Club.
More after the jump.
